Valentine’s Day

1.       Valentine’s Day- is celebrated annually on February 14. It is recognized as a significant cultural, religious and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love in many regions around the world. Americans probably started celebrating Valentine’s Day in the early 1700s. Due to many relationships, which we might observe in “Friends”, it is very common festivity in this sitcom.

This festivity may be seen in:

• Season 8 Episode 15

Valentine’s Day in “Friends”:

• going for a date (also double dates)

• handmade gift, cards

• romantic music, atmosphere

•  spending this day with a love of your life

• huge amount of flowers, especially roses and candies

• the images of swans, which love never ends (in “Friends” it is a lobster)
